Chiropractic Treatment Philosophy
The innate ability for the body to heal itself has been the foundation for my personal well-being and belief system for many years now. The make-up of my core foundation all started freshman year of college when I learned about Darwinian’s Law of Natural Selection. It states that the heritable traits that increase the chances of one’s survival and ability to reproduce will be passed on from one generation to the next. After thousands of years of evolution, the blueprint to our human body today exposes the intricate and natural ability to survive for many centuries without the use of synthetically made drugs.
Our ancestors use natural remedies that were made from whole plants during time of Dis-Ease. The natural chemicals in a whole plant are designed to work synergistically with one another to support, maintain, and give life to the plant. Why break it apart to use each chemical individually for other means. If our ancestors were able to survive all these years without unnatural interventions, then it makes me a believer that as long as I can keep my body in the most holistic form, it can do without drugs. It is not to say that I am one hundred percent against drugs because I do believe that in some cases the human body in certain complicated state may be in need of drugs to sustain life or prevent systematic complications. However, if given the choice to choose a more natural holistic alternate health care, I would prefer to go that route.
Mind and Body
The connection between the two most powerful sources of Life, the mind and body, encompasses our state of well-being. I believe that when these two areas grow stronger, it is then that we all will react to our surrounding environment more suitable for peace, tranquility, and stability in all areas of life. I have been a firm believer in the mind and body connection, and therefore, have worked to continue to build a strong foundation through eating healthy whole food, exercising, nutrient whole supplementation, meditation, listening to and saying positive affirmations, being optimistic and grateful for everything no matter what situation I may be in, etc. The continue circuit of energy between the mind and body will feed your Soul!!
The mind is only as strong as the body and vice versa. There are several stories all over the world demonstrating how powerful the mind really can be.
I will like to share one with you all. A man walked into the hospital because he has been stung by a bee near the right eye, which has been swollen shut. The man is allergic to bees. The doctor examined his patient’s eye, wrote him a prescription for an anaphylactic medication, and told him that he should ice it and it should heal in a week or two. The next day the doctor saw the same patient at a supermarket and to his surprised, his patient’s eye was completely healed. In awed, the doctor never saw an anaphylactic reaction heal that fast so he questioned his patient and found out that the patient have multiple personalities. The state of mind that the patient was in at this time was not allergic to bees.
When I first heard of this story, I thought what a true testament to how powerful the mind really can be. So strengthen your mind and allow it to show its true potential.
The body is truly an amazing and intricate being. On a daily basis, several continuous systematic circuits are managing your body to maintain it in a balance state and to be adaptive to the surrounding environment. In order for your body to function correctly, it needs to be provided with proper nutrition and you can use preventative measures to help your body to maintain its health. Preventative measures include chiropractic care, exercising, having a healthy diet, etc. You have to choose how to prioritize your life because in the end, you have to take care of yourself before you can take care of others.
